The most unpresidential thing a President of the United States can do, publicly go into a racist tirade. As of lately, Trump’s viral tweets angered hundreds of thousands of Americans and provoked our nation’s ‘progressive’ Democrat Congresswomen to respond in defense and call out the ‘white nationalist’ or racist remark.

Here is what Trump said and continues to defend his position –

Though the tweet does not point to anyone Democrat Congresswoman, the read between the lines – – ‘why don’t they go back’ comment is a direct insult to the only visible and newly serving Congresswomen who happen to all be Latinx/women of color. Reps. Ayanna Pressley, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Rashida Tlaib all have had Twitter spats with Trump before, with the most Trump attacks against Rep. Tlaib for being Muslim and defending her position as a Muslim refugee.

For the first time in our nation’s history, we have more diversity and women of color serving in lawmaking political positions of power. This position of power with Rep. Ocasio-Cortez, for example, has brought about much-needed transparency disrupting the conservative position and threatening the ‘white hair, grey suit’ patriarchy. The ongoing racist Twitter tirades from Trump himself reflect the ongoing resistance to long overdue change and bias against our nation’s women of color representatives. However, these Democratic Representatives have been ready and in anticipation counter all attacks in unity and/or individually – here is what they had to say on Trump’s tweets:

History-making, Boston, Massachusetts Rep. Ayanna Pressley had this to Tweet for Trump and his supporters – “THIS is what racism looks like. WE are what democracy looks like. And we’re not going anywhere. Except back to DC to fight for the families you marginalize and vilify everyday.”

Rep. Ilhan Omar had this to Tweet to Trump – – “You are stoking white nationalism bc you are angry that people like us are serving in Congress and fighting against your hate-filled agenda.”
And she provided this quote:
America’s answer to the intolerant man is diversity, the very diversity which our heritage of religious freedom has inspired.” -RFK

Rep. Rashida Tlaib is born in the United States of Palestian immigrants representing Michigan. All Democrat Congresswomen or the ‘squad’ of which Trump attacked are American-born except for Rep. Ilhan Omar representing the 5th District of Minnesota. Omar was born in Somalia and is a refugee who arrived at a Washington, DC airport after spending four years in a refugee camp in Kenya.

It’s safe to say that Trump aimed his tweet at all women – – but targeted coincidentally the only immigrant.
