Latina jewelry designers are making a name for themselves on both local and international stages. From luxury brands like Carolina Herrera to contemporary local designers who celebrate culture and identity through unique pieces, Latinas are leaving their mark in the competitive jewelry world. These creators are redefining luxury by weaving in stories, traditions, and cultural elements, making each design a true work of art.
Their creations are tangible representations of their roots, the values that define them, and the stories they wish to share with the world. Learn why gifting jewelry made by Latinas is the perfect present for any special occasion, as each brand embodies a unique style, ranging from classic to Afro-Latina influences.
Hija de tu Madre
Founded by Patty Delgado, the brand, Hija de tu Madre celebrates the beautiful complexity of being Latina and/or Latinx. Delgado also designs clothing (a Mexican-Western-inspired line in the works), office accessories, and games, aiming to reflect the cultural crossroads that define us in each of her creations.
Hija de tu Madre’s Delgado explains that her goal is to blend the best of both cultures, like denim paired with the Virgen de Guadalupe. The result is pieces that remind us of our roots and who we are. As the designer notes, fashion provides a sense of familiarity, home, and belonging.
Azteca Negra
Founder Marisol Catchings, an Afro-Latina, comes from a mixed heritage. Her father, of African descent, was born in North Carolina, and her mother, a Texan, hails from a Mexican family. Growing up immersed in both cultures, Catchings personally experienced racial discrimination, even within her own family, which rejected her father because of his race.
"The first thing I made was a pair of earrings. I got so many compliments that I started a small online business. I wanted others in my community to feel beautiful and represented," Catchings said in an interview with Mujeres Imparables.
The young Afro-Latina founded Azteca Negra, offering a range of products that reflect the richness of both her cultural backgrounds. The Latina jewelry designer, Catchings regularly travels to Mexico with her mother to source materials for her handmade pieces.
Luni™

The brand aims to capture the constant search for purpose, grounded in values such as meditation, spirituality, community connection, and self-expression through journaling. Additionally, her pieces are made with organic and inorganic materials, resulting in a very artistic and unique style.
Babe Comets
Joan DeJesus founded Babe Comets as a creative response to a moment of introspection following the 2016 presidential elections. Inspired by a trip to Yucatán, Mexico, Joan began experimenting with light materials such as threads and metals, creating eye-catching earrings that prioritize comfort while reflecting Latina fashion. Her focus on unique and accessible pieces seeks to empower women and non-binary individuals, combining wearable art with inclusion and community.
The essence of Babe Comets lies in celebrating diversity and empowerment. The Afro-Latina designer works with production teams made up of Black and Latinas to highlight underrepresented talents. Her mission is to create an inclusive community that represents a wide range of shades and shapes, making the brand a safe and vibrant space for self-expression.
Honey B. Gold
Honey B. Gold, a brand born in the heart of hip-hop and Chicana culture, was founded by Latina Jewelry designer Natalia Durazo, who was raised in the Inland Empire by Mexican immigrant parents. During her adolescence, Durazo found art and design as an escape from the chaos and tragedy around her. She began painting earrings for her first trips to hip-hop shows in Los Angeles and gradually turned this passion into a successful business.
Honey B. Gold is a movement, a tribute to the power of authenticity, a space where women, homegirls, and everyone can find pieces that empower them and make them proud to celebrate their roots with a style that blends urban and cultural influences. This brand is a shout of resistance and beauty that reminds you to live without regrets and always with style.
